NorthwestPainGuidance.org is a collaborative effort of providers in Oregon and Washington to support healthcare providers treating pain and individuals who suffer with persistent pain. Our mission is to provide evidence-based and easy to use educational resources for providers and the public. While the original intent was to serve Oregon and Washington, the website has become a national resource with over 75% of the users accessing the website from outside Oregon and Washington.
Our objective is to ensure that healthcare professionals and the public have easy access to educational resources to help treat and manage pain. Our emphasis is non-pharmacological pain management therapies for providers and self-management educational resources for individuals suffering with pain.
We support:
- Healthcare providers working with people experiencing pain
- People living with persistent pain and their caregivers seeking trusted, accessible educational materials on how to live better despite pain
We provide:
- Clinical guidelines and tools for providers
- Timely updates on pain management policy and practice
- Announcements about conferences, events, and webinars
- Educational handouts and videos for patients
- Social media outreach directly to the public
